Getting started
Install the app, pick a language, approve permissions, and confirm the first sync.
Install and open Profit Guard
Install Profit Guard from Shopify Admin or the App Store listing, then open it from the Apps menu. The embedded app should authenticate automatically and land on the dashboard.
- Open the target Shopify store admin.
- Install or open Profit Guard from Apps.
- Approve the requested scopes when Shopify asks.
- Wait for the dashboard to load before starting manual sync actions.
Choose your working language
Use the language selector at the top of the embedded app. The selected language is stored with pg_locale and is preserved when you move between pages.
- Choose English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, German, French, or Spanish.
- Navigate to another page and confirm the language remains unchanged.
- If Shopify reloads the iframe without the locale, Profit Guard restores the stored preference.
Run the first data checks
A new store needs product, order, cost, and daily metric data before alerts and reports become useful.
- Use Dashboard quick actions to queue bootstrap, product backfill, order backfill, and daily rebuild as needed.
- Open Costs and fill missing SKU costs or upload CSV files.
- Open Reports and generate a daily or weekly snapshot after metrics exist.
